Club History
The
Rotary Club of Lexington SC was chartered in 1968. Of the 17 original members,
2 still are active in the club. They are: Hamp Caughman and Jim Barfield. Avid
horse lovers, these members began the Lexington County Rotary Horse Show. It is
the club's leading fund raiser. It is held on the 3rd Saturday of every May.
Proceeds fund college scholarships for academically successful high school
students in financial need. Over $315,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
